Qing Dynasty Guangxu Emperor (1875–1908) official kiln porcelain jar and cover. This Famille Rose ‘Magpies and Plum Blossoms’ Jar exemplifies the poetic charm and auspicious artistry of the late Qing imperial kilns. The magpies, symbols of joy and good news, perch gracefully among blooming plum blossoms — emblems of resilience, purity, and renewal — forming the traditional motif “Two Magpies Heralding Spring” (双喜报春).

Each piece is handcrafted using traditional imperial kiln techniques and natural mineral pigments, then fired up to 1280°C in kiln to be finished products, keeping forever like a diamond. The delicate pastel enamels and refined brushwork reflect the elegance and optimism celebrated within the Guangxu court, uniting nature, symbolism, and imperial artistry.
