This Yellow-Ground Blue and White ‘Gardenia’ Dish embodies the refined harmony and restrained beauty of the Hongzhi imperial kilns. Against a luminous yellow ground, the underglazed cobalt-blue gardenia blossoms unfold with natural grace, symbolizing purity, nobility, and enduring affection.
Each dish is handcrafted using authentic Ming imperial kiln techniques, painted with natural mineral pigments, and fired up to 1280 °C in kiln to be finished products, keeping forever like a diamond. The striking color contrast between imperial yellow and serene blue reflects the Hongzhi Emperor’s preference for understated sophistication and balanced elegance.
The work exemplifies the early fusion of Chinese symbolic floral design with Western-influenced color layering, giving this porcelain its luminous depth and refined imperial charm.

Description
Porcelain dish with underglaze blue decoration reserved on a pale yellow enamel ground. The center is decorated with a gardenia spray bearing two blossoms, below sprays of pomegranate, lotus, grape and rose in the well, with a continuous scroll of camellias on the exterior.

The returned/exchanged product must be in its original condition, unused and in its original packaging. Special order items cannot be returned.
As soon as you return your item to us and it's received into our system, we will expeditiously send a refund request to your bank. Please note that while the funds are instantly deducted from our account, some banks may take 5-7 business days to process and post these refunds to your account.
