Qing Dynasty Tongzhi Emperor (1862–1874) official kiln porcelain dish. This Yellow-Ground Famille Rose ‘Magpie’ Dish captures the joyous spirit of imperial symbolism. The magpie (xique, 喜鹊) represents happiness and good news, often associated with the arrival of spring and new beginnings. The imperial yellow glaze enhances its auspicious meaning, symbolizing prosperity and noble grace.
Each piece is handcrafted using traditional imperial kiln techniques and natural mineral pigments, then fired up to 1280°C in kiln to be finished products, keeping forever like a diamond. The delicate enamel painting and harmonious color palette embody the refined artistry and optimism of the Tongzhi reign.

The dish is finely decorated with numerous black magpies in flight amidst flowering pink peach blossoms, all reserved on a yellow enamel ground beneath a gilt rim.

The returned/exchanged product must be in its original condition, unused and in its original packaging. Special order items cannot be returned.
As soon as you return your item to us and it's received into our system, we will expeditiously send a refund request to your bank. Please note that while the funds are instantly deducted from our account, some banks may take 5-7 business days to process and post these refunds to your account.
