Yuan Dynasty (1279 – 1368) official kiln porcelain vase. This Blue and White ‘Dragon’ Yuhuchunping Vase stands as a magnificent example of early imperial blue-and-white porcelain. The powerful five-clawed dragon soars amid clouds and waves, symbolizing imperial authority, vitality, and divine protection—a motif reserved for the highest rank of the Yuan court.

Painted in brilliant underglazed cobalt blue, the design reveals the confident brushwork and rhythmic energy that defined Yuan craftsmanship. Each vase is handcrafted using authentic imperial kiln techniques, painted with natural mineral pigments, and fired up to 1280 °C in kiln to be finished products, keeping forever like a diamond.

The elegant Yuhuchunping (pear-shaped) form, combined with the early use of imported cobalt pigment, illustrates the Yuan dynasty’s fusion of Chinese symbolism with Western-Asian color technology—a milestone that shaped the entire tradition of Ming and Qing imperial porcelains.
