About the Item

Description

The vase is well potted with an elegant rounded body tapering towards the slightly spreading foot and towards the waisted neck that rises to a flared rim. The central section is superbly painted in shades of brilliant cobalt-blue with five bats, wufu, in flight amidst fruiting peach branches growing from a gnarled tree on an outcrop of rock beside bamboo and lingzhi; the glaze has an even soft blue tinge, and stops at the rounded foot revealing the pale body.
