Qing Dynasty Kangxi Emperor (1662 – 1722) official kiln porcelain vase.
This Wucai ‘Silk Production’ Rouleau Vase reflects the imperial court’s admiration for industry, prosperity, and refinement during the Kangxi reign. The continuous painted scene depicts women and artisans engaged in sericulture — from raising silkworms to weaving fine silk — symbolizing diligence, abundance, and cultural flourishing. Executed in the Wucai (Five-Color) palette, the decoration blends vivid reds, greens, yellows, and underglaze cobalt blue, capturing both narrative depth and visual harmony.

Each vase is handcrafted using traditional imperial kiln techniques, painted with natural mineral pigments, and fired up to 1280 °C in kiln to be finished products, keeping forever like a diamond. During this era, Kangxi’s master artisans integrated classical Chinese storytelling with Western color and shading innovations, achieving unprecedented clarity, realism, and luminosity in porcelain painting.

A masterpiece of both artistic and cultural significance, this vase celebrates the imperial virtues of prosperity, craftsmanship, and harmony through labor — timeless values of the Kangxi golden age
