Handcrafted with meticulous precision, artisans of the Qing Dynasty Qianlong era mastered the luminous balance of underglaze blue and overglaze enamels characteristic of Doucai Porcelain Vase design. Using natural mineral pigments and fired up to 1280 °C in kiln to be finished products, keeping forever like a diamond, each creation embodies imperial grace. The vase is unique in shape, with bamboo-shaped ears curved along the shoulders. Decorated and gilt with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, amongst densely scrolling lotus below a band of ruyi heads.

The shape of the vessel imitates that of a Han Dynasty pitcher, with a long straight neck, a flat rounded abdomen, a rounded foot, and vertical tubular lugs symmetrically attached to both sides of the neck.
